Account opening process

To continue, you must:

• have unique Romanian citizenship

• have unique tax residency in Romania

• be the real beneficiary of the funds

• not be a politically exposed person

• have a valid ID card (including electronic ID)

Steps to follow:

• Prepare your documents

• Fill in the required declarations

• Choose the associated George card (e.g., Debit, Gold)

• Fill in contact details, photograph your ID and choose card delivery address

• For identification, take a selfie, then data is verified via video call with a George specialist

• Sign the contract electronically; you will find it in George messaging

• Your account is successfully opened

You are eligible for cashback if:

▶️ You have not had a BCR account in the last 12 months

▶️ You completed all required declarations

▶️ You were 18 or older at account opening date

How do you get the 500 lei cashback?

👉 After opening the account, download the George app

👉 Activate the “Moneyback” service from the menu

👉 Make at least 5 card transactions monthly for 5 months and enjoy 100 lei cashback each month.

❗ Transactions not counted: ATM cash deposits, cash withdrawals, money transfers, bets, or casino transactions.

👉 Recommendation: 5 card transactions per month (any value) = 100 lei monthly, for 5 months

When do you get the money?

The reward is granted once a month and is credited within the first 15 days of the month following the transaction month, provided the George 3.0 current account is active at crediting date.

Fees (18–22 years)

• George 3.0 Standard account maintenance: 0 lei (if you make at least 1 transaction/month via George app or card, else maintenance fee is 15 lei)

• Card issuance: 0 lei

• Card delivery: 15 lei (charged after delivery)

Fees (22+ years)

• George 3.0 Standard account maintenance: 0 lei (if you receive at least 2,000 lei monthly in account, else maintenance fee is 15 lei)

• Card issuance: 0 lei

• Card delivery: 15 lei (charged after delivery)

Offer validity
